Unearthing the Origins of the Harpocratesian Mysteries

The Harpocratesian Mysteries hold a significant place in the annals of occultism, with their origins believed to date back to ancient Egypt. These mystical rites were dedicated to Harpocrates, the Greek interpretation of the Egyptian deity Horus. Harpocrates, often depicted as a child deity wearing a pharaonic crown, symbolized silence and secrecy, leading to his association with the esoteric arts.

Now, let's dive into the intriguing world of the Tehuti Manuscripts...

The Tehuti Manuscripts: Unlocking the Secrets

The Tehuti Manuscripts are revered as one of the most profound occult texts ever discovered. Named after Thoth, the ancient Egyptian god of wisdom, these manuscripts are said to encapsulate the ancient knowledge of magic and divination. Although their exact origins are shrouded in mystery, many believe they emerged during the Hellenistic period in Egypt. The manuscripts consist of a series of scrolls that provide detailed instructions on various magical rituals, spells, and incantations. They offer insights into the complex cosmology of the ancient Egyptians, including their beliefs about the afterlife and the nature of the universe. These texts also shed light on the interplay between different deities and the connections between the physical and spiritual realms.

The Tehuti Manuscripts provide detailed instructions on how practitioners could separate their consciousness from their physical bodies, allowing them to explore different realms and dimensions. This technique was believed to enhance spiritual growth and provide access to hidden knowledge.

Divination and Prophecy

The manuscripts contain profound teachings on divination and prophecy. Ancient priests and priestesses used methods such as scrying and dream interpretation to gain insights into the future. The Tehuti Manuscripts reveal various techniques for harnessing these powers, offering practitioners the ability to decipher cryptic symbols and interpret celestial omens.

Invocation of Deities

The ancient Egyptians believed in the existence of powerful deities that could assist them in their magical endeavors. The Tehuti Manuscripts provide guidance on invoking and communing with these divine entities, enabling practitioners to access their wisdom and harness their energy. Different mantras, spells, and rituals were used to establish a connection with these deities, seeking their assistance in matters of healing, protection, and enlightenment.

It’s been twenty years since I presented this addition to the 0=0 Neophyte curriculum to the G.D. community beyond Temple Tehuti #13 in Vancouver, B.C. I was already an adept of 5=6 when I developed this -- essentially a pre-godform exercise or advanced Meditation One using Egyptian mythology. I still think it is probably the best addition I have made to the hermetic corpus.
It is funny that really the highest honour a magician can attain is to produce material that is so universally recognized that it becomes released without one’s name attached to it. Often in the G.D. material we see adepti credited with the material, especially in the case of the order chiefs such as D.D.C.F., etc. and most significantly in the “flying rolls” of the Inner Order.
However, we can detect that the attachment of an initiate’s motto to material is less to edify them and more to place the onus on them for the material created. But when the writer’s motto and name is removed from disseminated material, well, then you know it is really good. Because to remove the author’s name is to say: this teaching is not opinion and should be elevated beyond the opinions of personal research and regarded as purely useful.
This was the second addendum of my creation added to the G.D. corpus after my piece on YHVH: The Tetragrammaton & Pentagrammaton, which despite being the condensed writing of a young academic succeeded in elucidation without significant bias. This is hard to do in magic since so much of what we do hinges on subjective, spiritual experience. My experience is most often not relevant to yours; but sometimes it is.
That is really the role of the adepti: to serve so that we learn. This is the last and final of my work and research from my seven years of intensive, really overwhelming, training at the Temple of Tehuti (1996-2003). I hope this manuscript series has helped some of you, and at least creates a model for other adepti to share their own humble research and experience in concise bits and pieces without the stuffing and fluff that more than ever today seems to puff-up every new book released on magic and the occult.
Just the other month I was hanging out with Chic and Tabby and Lon in the Weiser and Llewellyn rooms at the hotel for PantheaCon 2020. I heard people around us repeatedly bemoan the plethora of smallish booklets coming out in our fields. Well, who needs another chapter on “What is Magic”, or even “True Traditional Witchcraft”?
I think we should cut to the chase. The G.D. curriculum (in almost any of its many varietals) cuts to the chase in theory and most importantly, practice. The best thing I got out of completing the G.D. system in an active 24/7 temple (followed by the essential Inner Order training of adepthood) was that I would walk into my high school friend’s bookstore, Banyan, and scan the shelves and see NOTHING I needed to read.
The couple hundred thousand dollars I spent building my library from 1993 to 2005 served me well; but not so well as the seven year practicum of G.D. training. I avoided most of the bullshit and egos, I focused on the work and ritual and ceremony, and it was the best thing I have ever done in life.
No books are needed now. I have enough work and magic and ritual on my to-do list for the rest of my life and more. Once you master the basics and have the know-how, all that is left is the Work.
To that end, I wish you all a farewell.
