Khawla Bint Al Azwar An Illustration Of A Brave Woman Wearing Traditional Arabic Armor And Holding A Sword In A Desert Landscape Khawla Bint Al Azwar: The Woman Who Fought Like Khalid Bin Walid

Khawla Bint Al Azwar, an iconic female warrior of the 7th century, embodied courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the pursuit of justice. Her tale echoes through history, inspiring generations of women to stand up against oppression and fight for their beliefs.

The Early Life of Khawla Bint Al Azwar

Born in the ancient city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in the 7th century, Khawla Bint Al Azwar grew up in a society deeply rooted in tradition and ruled by patriarchy. However, even as a young girl, she refused to accept the societal limitations imposed on her gender. Khawla sought knowledge, trained herself in combat skills, and developed an indomitable spirit.

Her father, maybe startled by her fierce determination, supported her unconventional choices and facilitated her training. Under the guidance of her father, she honed her swordsmanship, archery, and horseback riding skills. She was unlike any other woman of her time and refused to be confined to domestic roles.

History is always a mystery. If anyone wants to know anything from history or any historical character instead of reading what is readily available they should research it. When I was listening to the history of Sahaba (R) I heard about Khawla bint Al Azwar (R) and I started researching about her.

The information we’ve about Khawlah bint Al Azwar (R) are the only two mentioned in this book. Even though it is very less information we can clearly understand how heroic she was and the role she played in strengthening the soldiers. No wonder why she was mentioned as one of the Commanders of the battle of Yarmouk by Historians.

Read this book to know more about her.
